Message from the Principal...
It was so good to see so many of you for the Thanksgiving celebrations. We love having you here and I know it made your child so happy to share this time with you!
We have so much fun in store for December. Our PTA makes this season the very best. They have decorated the school and are set to help Santa arrive on Friday for pictures and they can give him their wish list. The PTA provides every family with a printed picture. This is amazing...I know I don't mind skipping the long lines at the mall to see the big guy and get a photo.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child,

Upon arrival, you will receive a badge that will allow you to enter and attend the designated celebration. (no need to fill out the Google Doc we have used in the past) When the celebration has ended, we will ask that you clear the building in between parties for us to secure the grade level hallway.
Student Check Out:
Student check out will be in the classroom during the designated celebration time. Sibling check out will be in the cafeteria.
Below are the time for the celebrations. Teachers will be communicating with each class about any other details for the celebration.

Gifted and Talented Nominations
Now that we are in October, the window is open for nominations for Gifted and Talented testing. You can nominate your child for testing from now until Friday, December 16. Identification in the GT program requires advanced academic accountability. Students will be required to work independently on accelerated curriculum as a part of the program. Please read the following guidelines for your child's specific grade level:
Kindergarten and First Grade Students: If you are interested in having your child screened for the Gifted and Talented program, you must have a conference with your child's homeroom teacher first to discuss the requirements prior to December 16.
Second Grade Students: No nomination necessary. All students will take the first part of the GT test on Oct. 17- Oct. 21. We get scores back in December. Once we get the results, we will notify you if your child qualifies for the second part of the GT test.
Third and Fourth Grade Students: Nomination forms can be obtained on campus at the front desk or from your child's homeroom teacher. Please return completed forms before December 16, 2022 to Mrs. Masiel.
