Info from Nurse Amanda
Thank you to all our MTE families for your continued diligence in monitoring your students for potential COVID-19 symptoms. Please remember prior to every school day, check your students temperature and review the parent screener questions prior to sending your student to school.
In the last 24 hours have you had a fever or chills and/or taken medication for a fever? (If you are unsure, please utilize a thermometer for an accurate reading. A temperature of 100.4 or higher constitutes a fever according to medical professionals)
Do you have Covid-19 symptoms such as new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, unusual sore throat or loss of taste or smell?
In the past 14 days have you been in close contact (within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes) with a person known/suspected to have COVID-19 and/or have you been diagnosed with Covid-19?
Have you or anyone in your household been tested for Covid-19 and are still awaiting test results?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, or suspect your child is exhibiting symptom(s) of COVID-19, please keep your student home. Your next steps should be to contact the COVID hotline AND our front office for further guidance on return to school policies.
A few friendly reminders…
Please ensure to send your child with a water bottle; water fountains are not in use at this time to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
It is not too late to get your flu shot. This year especially, The CDC and The Indiana State Department of Health are strongly encouraging you to protect yourself and your families from Influenza by getting your annual flu shot.
2021 Math Pentathlon Tournament Registration
Our Registration Page for the 2021 Math Pentathlon Virtual Tournaments is now live. See link below. The cost is only $21 if you registered and paid for the 2020 MP Tournament and $34 if you did not register for the 2020 Tournament.
In lieu of accumulated points that correspond to awards, this year’s Tournament emphasis will be on Good Sportsmanship. To celebrate each Pentathlete’s development of Active Problem Solving, a one-of-a-kind MP Tournament-Shirt and an online Certificate of Participation will be awarded to every participant. Pentathletes need to learn all 5 MP Games and the Pentathlon Institute will select TWO (2) MP Games to be played at the Tournament. Notification of these 2 selected games will be given by April 1. Pentathletes throughout the USA are welcome to participate. Unlike prior years, this year Pentathletes will be competing with Pentathletes from other states!
By registering for the 2021 Virtual National Mathematics Pentathlon Academic Tournament, parents and their Pentathlete will become members of the Pentathlon Institute. In addition to participating in the tournament, they will be invited to upcoming virtual tournament preparation events.
We look forward to working with all of you in the upcoming 2021 Virtual NMPAT Season!!
