City of Glass
The well-know "villain" of an alternative world in which humans don't know about, Valentine, is starting a war between two different races, Shadowhunters and Downworlders versus demons. What will Clary, Jace, and Simon do when everyone is prepared for battle?
This is probably one of the best books I have ever read in my life. I would rate it a definite 5 stars. Although I enjoy this book which is in the series (The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare), I like other books better than others. This is a 100% romance, action, fantasy, and drama for those who like the genres. Just like every other book in its series, City of Glass ends with a cliffhanger. Goodreads rated this book a 4.3/5, but in my opinion, they should have been more generous and at least given Clare a 4.5. Overall, City of Glass is an amazing book.
Before I Fall
Samantha Kingston seems to have it all, but what happens when a single party and a single day made a difference to her entire life?
The captivating story Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver is a 4.5/5 in my opinion. It has great descriptions, interesting events, and creatively made characters. I would say that this is a fantasy or, as Google says, young adult fiction. This book was made into a movie, and a very good one if I do say so myself. Goodreads rated this a 3.9/5, which I have to seriously disagree with considering the awesomeness of the book. All in all, Before I Fall was a great story.

The Pot
Once upon a time there was a poor couple named James and Lia. One day when they were putting new crops in their garden and hit something heavy. “Hey... What’s this?” James asked. He pulled it out of the ground.
“It’s a pot!” Lia said. “Let’s bring it in!”
“Uuugg!” James grunted.
“Let's put our money inside so it can be a safe.” Lia suggested.
“Ok!” James agreed. He threw in all their money (which wasn't a lot of money) into the pot. “Hey…” James examined. We only put $427 in here…” ,he said, “ now there’s $854.”
“Wait the pot must have DUPLICATED it!” Lia guessed, grabbing a potted flower. She threw it in and, then there were 2 potted flowers!
“I have an idea!” James said. He kept throwing in money until they had more than $5,000 dollars.
“Our life will be happier now!” Lia smiled.

Shoe-shi
In the article Ready For Some "Shoe-Shi?,"
Yujji Hu a chef in Milan creates edible sushi masterpieces. Hu makes these from nori a type of black seaweed, sashimi, rice, and any other edible ingredients they need to use to make these fancy footwear. The China-born food artist, who works at his family’s restaurant Sakana, has created everything from Air Jordans to Vans to Supreme slides. These amazing creations take 20-30 minutes to make, but the bite size versions are not made to be looked at but to be devoured like normal sushi. These creations are not just cool to look at but delicious!

The Night Everything Happened…
I was walking home from school one night and then it started down pouring out of nowhere. I started running as fast as I could so I wouldn’t be soaked by the time I got home. Once I got there my brother was waiting for me on the front porch to give me the news. We were moving… He told me to pack all of my things because we were moving to Las Vegas, because we never got to see our grandparents. I was devastated. I would miss all of my friends. It was so hard to tell them i was moving. It wasn't going to be easy. I started packing my room. It was the toughest thing to do. I started my way over to Lauren's house. “Hi Katie! Come in! You look sad. Want ice cream?”, Lauren asked. As always her cheerfulness would cheer me up, but not this time. I will be eternally sad this time. ¨Lauren, can we talk? This is really important,¨I asked, hoping that by the tone of my voice, Lauren wouldn't break out in tears. She dragged me by the hand up to her room. She patted the bed indicating where she wanted me to sit. As I sat down tears rolled down my face. As Lauren glanced over at me to ask what was important she saw the tear rolling down my face. ¨This must be really important if your crying Katie,¨She said trying to sooth me. She hugged me, then wiped the tear off my face. ¨Ok, I´m moving to Las Vegas. I didn't want to text you, so I came here, hoping to spend my last couple nights here, my mom is ok with it,¨I told her, glancing over at her smooshing her face into a pillow. I gave her a big hug. ¨But before I can stay I have to tell Chloe and Maddie. Then I have to get my stuff.¨As I told her she nodded her head. I walked down the long beautiful staircase as I made my way to the door. I ran as fast as I could to Maddie´s house. ¨KK! You're here!¨She yelled. I glanced at her with a sad look on my face. She automatically knew I was moving. ¨I´ll be right back, stay here!¨She yelled like she knew I was inviting her to a 3 night sleepover. ¨Ok! I'm ready to go to Lauren's house!!!!!!!¨She ran out of her house in the direction of Lauren´s. I text Chloe to meet us there.
She was on board, but not quite sure what was going on. DING DONG. ¨Chloe!¨ Maddie ran to the door to get her. Then she did the explaining for me…

How to make an easy window decoration
Materials:
Coffee filter
Printer paper
Tape
Markers of your choice
Spray bottle
Steps:
First, take your plain coffee filter and tape it to a blank sheet of paper.
Next, color the filter with any color marker, to make a nice design or picture of some sort.
Then, spray the decorated coffee filter with water so that the colors mix and blend creating a scenery of colors..
Finally, remove filter from the paper making a simple, but beautiful window trinket for all to see.
Tips:
I would advise putting down paper towels so it does not stain.
If hung on a window with sunlight, the colors will look amazing because they shine through the filter. ( They might fade over time though)
Don’t add to much water because then it will be a soggy mess.

Imagination
The frost shimmered at her feet in the moonlight,
Little Susan staring out into the darkness of the night,
It felt to her like there was no such thing as sun,
And there was a ton left to do that was fun,
She saw her breath blow out in the bitter air,
And no sign of wind blowing across her hair,
Her mom had called her in to sleep,
She knew that she still had time to keep,
She ran inside thinking all the thoughts that she could think,
Dinosaurs, dragons, birds that are a pretty pink,
She got tucked into bed, with the surrounding silence allowing her thoughts to be heard,
And her favorite to be that little pink bird,
She closed her eyes,
Thinking more about the skies,
And blueberry and apple pies,
All of the imagination left to dream,
Thinking all about creative sceneries,
One with the special pink bird flying above the shimmering stream.

“Top Ten Most Inspirational Songs”
This news is about the top ten most inspirational songs of all time! I looked it up on TheTopTens. The tenth most inspirational song is “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera. I saw from the comments that it’s about women in the world. I’m seeing that it’s passing a great message that you’re beautiful no matter what they think! The ninth song is “Welcome To the Black Parade” by My Chemical Romance. One person said that it encourages citizens to aspire into what they want to be in the future. The song is to give people courage to face the world. The eighth song is “The World’s Greatest” by R Kelly. One person says it just makes them want to just jump out, pump up, and dance. It puts people in a good mood. One says the lyrics got him through his ordeals. The seventh is “Earth Song” by Pop superstar, Michael Jackson. The viewers are saying it teaches us how to love and care for things all around us. One other said it makes you wish everyone could do their part. And, to stop doing damage to ourselves and whatnot. The sixth one is “Imagine” by Jon Lennon and one person said it’s to be better people and help others. One said they play that song on the piano when they see injustice or misery on television. It is to use your imagination and be what you “imagine” to be. The fifth is “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly. You can do anything if you believe in it, and it is sung with great power. Number four is “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi. It is said to make this life memorable and feel excited to the life ahead of you. One viewer gave a very inspiring quote, “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.” Make your life original. The third song is “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban. You don’t need to believe in God, but God believes in you. Someone said when he sings, they feel strength in his interpretation. It signifies hope and trust in God. It’s that all of us are loved. God will never let us down. The runner up is “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. You should chase your dreams and do you what you believe you should. Whatever challenges you shall encounter just don’t stop believing! And, the most inspirational song on here is … “Lose Yourself” by successful rapping superstar Eminem! If you only have one opportunity to do something, well, are you gonna take it, or leave it. When someone was sad and bored they listened to this song to motivate themselves. Take your shot as success as soon as it comes out. Don’t wait! Thank you for reading my little story about the top ten most inspirational songs in TheTopTens and I hope you enjoyed it.

Classroom Spotlight

Classroom Spotlight
In my 4th grade class, my teacher likes to decorate our classroom during the year. For example, in math one day my classmates and I made decorations that spelled out PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction). We put pieces of paper on a string that spelled the word PEMDAS and gave it to our teacher. She hung them up all around the room and it looked like they were floating because they were spinning around the classroom. Another thing my teacher likes to do during the Christmas season is to put little sticky men on the window of the door, and they looked really cool! She also put stickers on the window that spelled out “Merry Christmas”. Those are just a few of the ways my teacher likes to decorate our classroom and all of us love it.
