PRIDE - Promoting Diversity and Inclusive Youth Work Practices

The Long Term Training Course "Promoting Diversity and Inclusive Youth Work Practices" is intended for youth workers, youth trainers and facilitators who are ready to work on the topics of diversity, inclusion and anti-discrimination in order to activate the potential of diversity in trainings and work with young people both at National and the European levels.


PRIDE is a multi-layer project that consisted of three parts, with different activities:

Activity 1 - Training Course in Armenia (25th February - March 4th, 2018)
Activity 2 - Local Activities in Participating countries
Activity 3 - Capacity Building and Evaluation Seminar in Armenia (5th – 13th May, 2018)


Partner Countries: Armenia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey


All participants are required to take part in all 3 stages of the project, including Seminar in Yerevan in May.

Aims of the Project

The LTTC has the following main objectives:

- To empower workers, trainers and educators to develop diversity orientation in their work with young people and build their competence in diversity management;
- To support workers in incorporation of diversity into their working environment, thus, making their work more inclusive and effective;
- To promote diversity-oriented attitudes and awareness within the European programs in the fields of Education, Training and Youth;
- To introduce key theoretical aspects, the glossary as well as the practical tools, methods and instruments to the youth workers who seek to implement the concept of diversity in their work;
- To discuss how the European Youth Work can reinforce equality and ensure that diverse groups of people get equal treatment during trainings, seminars as well as other formal and non-formal educational settings;
- To strengthen cooperation between 14 organizations based in the EU and non-EU countries in order to exchange methods and develop new projects on diversity and inclusion within the Erasmus+ programme.

1. TRAINING COURSE IN AGHVERAN

25th February - March 4th, 2018

Aims of the Training Course in Aghveran:

HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION

The participants will stay in Aghveran at the Ararat Resort, located 45 km north of Yerevan. Address: Antarayin 11, Arzakan, Kotayq.


The accommodation will be organized in double and triple rooms, 2-3 participants per room (in some cases there might be 3-4 participants per room, as the hotel also provides us with family rooms). Travel cost to the hotel will be included in your travel cost sum.

Insurance: It will be participants’ self-responsibility to have (travel) insurance, although we will assist in finding the best option.


Visa: Turkish participant will need visa to Armenia that is issued at the airport upon arrival and the cost for visa is included in the Exceptional Costs sections of this application form.

In case participants have a Turkish Diplomatic passport (Green passport), they need to apply to Armenian Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia.


Please remember to take with you all your printed tickets and to give them to the project’s responsible.


Reimbursement of the travel costs will only be done after submitting all original tickets, receipt/invoices, boarding passes and later sending of the return documents and boarding passes. Save the boarding passes from your airport check-in as well. Please, be aware that in case you lose any invoices or tickets we will not be able to reimburse the cost. Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice according to the official currency exchange rate of European Commission http://ec.europa.eu/budget/contracts_grants/info_contracts/inforeuro/inforeuro_en.cfm


Important: the reimbursement of travel costs for participants will be done via transfer to one bank account, providing we receive all original travel documents within two months after the training.

2. CAPACITY BUILDING AND EVALUATION SEMINAR IN YEREVAN

Capacity Building and Evaluation Seminar in Yerevan aims:

- To develop skills in planning of a training activity and mainstreaming diversity in project management stages, from planning to evaluation;
- To learn about diversity challenges and issues in the Eastern Europe and Caucasus and meet relevant stakeholders;
- To discuss how the European Youth Work can reinforce equality and ensure that diverse groups of people get equal treatment during trainings or in other educational settings.
- To evaluate the individual learning process of the participants and have a look on the process of their self-empowerment and self-efficiency in dealing with diversity and inclusion;
- To evaluate and reflect on the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the participants gained within LTTC;
- To evaluate Local Activities in Participating countries and present the project implemented through a dissemination event;
- To exchange best practices in relation to youth work and strengthen cooperation between 14 organizations based in the EU and non-EU countries;
- To exchange methods and develop new practices and projects on diversity and inclusion within the Erasmus+;
- To facilitate networking between participants and develop new projects dealing with diversity and inclusion.

It is possible to reach Yerevan through 3 airports:
Yerevan International Airport (Armenia), Tbilisi International Airport (Georgia) and Kutaisi Airport (Georgia).
If you arrive in Yerevan International Airport: the participants landing in Yerevan will be picked up by the organizers.
If you arrive in Tbilisi Airport we can arrange a bus for you from the airport, depending on the number of participants. In case there are few participants arriving to Tbilisi, you can get to Yerevan by bus or a shared taxi (cost of ticket: 30/35 GEL - 15 EUR).
If you arrive in Kutaisi Airport you can take the bus to Tbilisi (cost: 20 GEL - 8 EUR) and use the tips above.

The participants will be accommodated in the Capital Hotel, near Yerevan's city centre, a friendly and comfortable location in Aygedzor area.
