Get Ready for 4-H Academic Conference
Volunteers need not pass up this wonderful opportunity for their 6-8 grade 4-Hers. Tennessee 4-H Junior High Academic Conference is June 13–16, 2023, on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This conference allows junior high-aged members the opportunity to interact with University professors in their selected knowledge area, while staying on campus.
4-H Specialist, Lynne Middleton and her team are getting ready. The application is on the Tennessee 4-H website and is due to the County Office by March 31.
Tennessee 4-H Congress is Just Around the Corner
Tennessee 4-H Congress will be happening on March 19-22, 2023 in Murfreesboro, TN. For those volunteers planning to participate, please view the Volunteer Orientation to help you get ready for the event.
A large part of Congress also takes place in Nashville at the State Capitol. This event has been titled "The Premier Event of Tennessee 4-H," and is a very rewarding experience.
4-H Electric Camp: Connecting YOUth to the Future!
Happening June 26-29 at UT Knoxville, 4-H Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity. Youth will explore the world of energy, electricity, energy conservation, electrical safety, and other basic sciences in fun-filled, “hands-on” learning activities.
Youth will work with electrical specialists from across the state in learning centers. Each learning center will consist of hands-on activities to learn by doing. Youth will also have the chance to meet other 4-H’ers from across Tennessee and explore careers in energy, electricity, and basic sciences. It’s an electrifying experience!
