We are excited to announce that this year, our 8th grade leopards will have the opportunity to participate in the Outdoor School program. This is an annual program that is provided for 6th grade students, but since your student was unable to participate in Outdoor School during their 6th grade year due to COVID restrictions, we are providing this opportunity for your 8th grade student.

A parent meeting/webinar has been scheduled for LC famlies on Wednesday, November 2nd at 6:00 pm.

Mr. Tom Hoegeman, the CVUSD Outdoor School Coordinator, will be holding an informational webinar (zoom) for all parents regarding Outdoor School on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00 pm. The presentation will cover the following topics:

• Camp Dates
• Costs
• Transportation
• Outdoor School Program and Scheduling
• Cabin Assignments
• Meals
• Packing
• Supervision and Safety

Parents will have opportunities to ask questions during the webinar presentation and our 6th grade Science teachers are always available by email or phone if you have questions after.

Los Cerritos Middle School will be offering the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT 8/9) to interested 8th grade students.

Test Date: Saturday, December 10, 2022 between 8:30 and 12:30 pm

Location: LCMS Classrooms

Registration: Priority registration begins Monday, October 17, 2022, and continues through Friday, November 4, 2022. Registration will continue after that date on a space available basis.

Payment: The cost of the PSAT 8/9 is $25.00. Two Payment Options:

(1) Cash/Check (Payable to LCMS) or

(2) Online Payment through Q/Parent Connect (see attached directions).

Must return bottom portion of registration regardless of your payment choice.
