Bulldog Families, this week coming up is packed with schedule changes. Please realize that first we have school on Monday. Some districts may have off, but that does not apply to Washington Township Schools. Also, we have an early dismissal for the students. Lunch will be served. Finally, Wednesday and Thursday are state testing. So it's a packed week. Please check out some information below. It talks about the week as well as athletics. Also, this past week and into this week, we are making pledges as to how to be better and more courageous in taking a stand against people being targeted or insulted or bullied. We have been talking more and more about being a true Bulldog and realizing that everyone has equal worth.
Sincerely,
Mike D'Ostilio

BHMS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by Recognizing Contemporary Difference Makers Who Build Community Through Relationships.
Week 4...Demi Lavato, Singer/Actor
Each week, during September/October we honor contemporary difference makers of Hispanic Heritage. We honor these celebrities, not because of their fame or riches, but for what they do with that fame or wealth. Specifically, we celebrate them for their philanthropy and service to others. Over the last three weeks we celebrated Pitbull, Sonia Sotomayor, and George Lopez. In week 4 we honor Demi Lavato actor and singer for starting the COVID-19 Mental Health Fund that aims to provide treatment and awareness for the mental health concerns as a result of COVID-19. Both Demi and her father suffer from mental health challenges, and she's taking an active role to support others like her. Demi Lavato' is of Mexican-American ancestry and was born in New Mexico. She has taken her own hardships and has used her struggles to educate those in similar situations.

We are committed to providing a safe environment where students can express themselves as they question the ebb and flow of their world around them.
