In 1923 Mastafa Kemal found modern day Turkey.

1928 secular becomes a state.

1950s Turkey held its first vote.

Turkeys military took over in in the 1960s

  • 99% of the people are Sunni Muslim 1% other.

  • There is a lot of people who live in the city but there is still a lot of farming.
