Bobcat Buzz
Vol.1: Week 1 September 8, 2017
Welcome to Our House "Where Character Matters"
WELCOME BACK!
Welcome back to an amazing year of growing and learning together. As we quickly move past our first full week of school, I can't tell you how pleased I am with the start of the 2017-2018 school year at Botsford. Our Botsford Bobcats showed up on our first day and handled the new arrival changes with ease.
I want to commend our entire staff for their hard work, preparation and commitment to kicking off the new school year with success. Thank you to our families for being sensitive and flexible to the new changes at Botsford.
I hope you find this newsletter helpful. Each week you will be informed about upcoming events, you will be provided with friendly reminders about procedures and policies and finally you will be updated about the BUZZ at Botsford.

The A, B, C's of our Botsford Bus Loop for Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Always follow the instructions of the staff members on duty at arrival and dismissal.
Be cautious and considerate of other drivers AND students walking on our school grounds.
Consider parking in a spot and walking your child to the front entrance. At dismissal it is best to park and then walk to the safety pickup area at our NORTH exits.
What is the Wiggle Walk and why should my child participate?
The Wiggle Walk is an opportunity for students to get some exercise and social time before the school day begins. The Wiggle Walk is supervised by the principal or other designated adult. Students are invited to eat breakfast at 8:00 and then report to the Wiggle Walk. Breakfast must be eaten in the cafe’. Students are dismissed to the classroom at 8:30. Breakfast is served until 8:30.
There is no supervision on the playground before the school day begins. If you would rather not have your child participate in the Wiggle Walk you will want to bring your child to school no earlier than 8:25. All students who come to school before 8:25 will be told to report to the gym for Wiggle Walk.
