State Assessments
This spring Washington students will be participating in the Smarter Balanced Assessments, along with 23 other states. Students in grades 6 through 8 will take the Smarter Balanced Assessments in math and English language arts. Students in grade 8 will also take the State science assessment.
- ELA May 9-13
- Math May 16-20
- Science May 25
Registration for 2022-2023 Classes at Selkirk Middle School
- Current 6th grade students will start registration on Tuesday, April 26, and their forms are due by May 3.
- Current 7th grade students will begin the registration process on Wednesday, April 27, and forms will be due May 4.

If you are interested in summer school for your student, please contact your child's teacher or Selkirk counselor Connie Mott (cmott@cvsd.org). The priority registration timeline has been extended.
PTO Board and Committee Positions for 2022-2023
We are looking for PTO board members for next year! Committee and co-positions allow you to do as much or as little as your schedule allows. Fill out a form by April 22nd, positions will be determined at our General PTO meeting on May 18th at 6PM. Without help from parents like you on our PTO, events like Dances, and traditions like the 8th grade Silverwood trip would not happen. Selkirk depends on our fundraising and organizing to make so many things for the students happen!
