4-17-2020 Teleschool Updates
Dear Hillside Community,
Thank you for another great week of Teleschool. We understand this is a challenging time as we navigate this new world of Teleschool but we can get through this together! Our teachers are working diligently to provide intentional lessons for our students. Please understand as outlined in the Fulton County Schools Remote Learning Guide, Teleschool is not optional. It is expected that students participate and "provided that 70 percent of Remote Learning assignments are satisfactorily completed, the 4th Quarter grades will reflect 3rd quarter averages as of March 12."
Let’s all work together to have a successful rest of the school year and please let us know how we can best support you!
Note from Mrs. Dewey, Counselor
We all make mistakes sometimes and that’s okay! Beautiful things can come from mistakes. Come explore with me some well-known inventions that actually came from mistakes! I will read a book and then provide a fun activity to go along with it.
Being at home trying to navigate parenting, work, Teleschool, and social distancing is a real challenge! Consider looking at this helpful resource on how to cope during this new normal.

Hillside Elementary is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) school which means we strive to teach school wide expectations and acknowledge appropriate behaviors in a positive manner. Clear expectations and positive support at home will help make for successful days. Please read below the information provided by Fulton County Schools on how to best implement PBIS practices at home.
If you need any support, please reach out to me at any time: deweyk@fultonschools.org or 678-327-5847. Be sure to check out more counseling activities on the specials area choice board!
