Information needed
Dear MPS families-
Earlier today you should have received a FOF asking for you to complete an Intent Form for the upcoming transition to a hybrid model (MPS Parent Intent Form). Please be sure to complete this survey (one per child) as this information is vital in helping us plan the most productive and effective instructional model. If you did not receive the FOF, please contact our front office and we will be sure you receive the link. The short turn around time is necessary in order to give us the most time possible in our planning. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me, Mrs. Borne, or any of our front office staff.
Additionally, earlier this week you received a FOF asking you to complete a Federal Impact Aid Survey. We appreciate your completion of this survey as well.
Thank you for your continued support. We always love to see your pictures of our students learning. You can share them on Twitter and tag @PrincipalMPS and include the hashtag #knightpride.
Fondly,
Sandy Fox
Principal
Congratulations on your retirement Mrs. Dumars!
Mrs. Dumars wanted to share the following with the community:
Dear MPS students and families,
At this time of thanksgiving and counting our blessings, I wanted the families of MPS to know how blessed I have been to work in the Middletown community for my entire 35 year career. It is very rare for a specials teacher to remain in one place for so long- I am very lucky!! I have taught so many children in the Middletown Valley and am now teaching children of children and have enjoyed every minute of it. Add into this the pleasure I have had coaching young ladies of all levels in field hockey. You have all been a blessing to me and my heart is filled with gratitude. And so it is with a heavy heart that I am informing you all that I will be retiring on Jan 1, 2021. Thank you for a wonderful career. It has been my honor to serve this community and I will miss you all so very much!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Dumars

Welcome to MPS Mrs. Bailey!
Hello! I am Sarah Bailey, the new literacy specialist here at MPS. I have taught for 10 years in FCPS starting out in the classroom and teaching 4th grade, 1st grade, and kindergarten throughout the years. I completed my undergraduate degree at Towson University and received my Master's in Reading Specialization from Hood College. I grew up in Middletown and am excited to be back in the community. I have two little boys of my own - Camden (3 years old) and Gavin (4 months old).
Family Code Night- Thank you!
Family Code Night
Wow! We had so much fun a few weeks ago during Family Code Night. A huge thanks to parents for getting their child logged on! As promised, here are some additional resources for your budding computer engineer to keep on coding!

Artsonia
This year MPS will continue to partner with Artsonia to create a secure online art gallery and portfolio for our student’s artwork here at MPS. The portfolio of your child’s artwork can follow them from kindergarten through grade 12! Artsonia also allows parents, grandparents and family to view artwork online and offers opportunities to purchase items featuring your child’s artwork! December 15th is the order by date for holiday gifts!!
This year we will likely hold a virtual art show in the spring. Any art work uploaded for your child can be included in our virtual art show. Therefore, we are asking in addition to schoology, please upload any artwork your child would like to have included in our virtual art show this spring!
Access links for your child’s account are located in their SCHOOLOGY art class
The access code for our school is: BZDN- MYMX
There is folder containing directions and a link to their artsonia account
Please upload any artwork through the student account in schoology not the parent account
All uploaded artwork is reviewed before being published by the teacher
If you are new to artsonia, you will need to enter your email address to create a parent account, If you have participated in the past, you do not need to sign up again!
Feel free to email sarah.lucas@fcps.org with any questions you may have.
Thank you for your continued support!
