McAuliffe Messenger
February 3, 2023
Dear McAuliffe Families,
February is here, and the cold winter weather remains. Let’s continue working together in making sure that all of our students are dressed warmly.
This month we will not only focus on staying warm but showing warmth in our hearts through the theme of kindness (making a difference, giving compliments, being grateful, and modeling positivity). McAuliffe students and staff are invited to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness by participating in our Spirit Week February 13 - 17!
We are continuing to see dangerous situations in the front of the building. Please remember:
- Do not park in the bus lane, in front of fire hydrants, or where the curb is painted yellow when picking up or dropping off your child. These are restricted areas. You can get ticketed!
- Do not let your child use the crosswalk unless you are walking with them.
- When pulling into the front of the school please drive slowly and carefully.
Students should not arrive prior to 7:45 am. School begins promptly at 7:55 am.
As always, thank you for your continued dedication to keeping our students happy, healthy, and safe so that we can focus on their academic goals and daily success. Keep being awesome, Go Challengers, and stay warm!
Sincerely,
Dr. Szczasny
Ms. Folliard

This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourages greater engagement and connection with D140. It provides an efficient way for District administrators and school principals to:
Send District and school information via email, text, and app notification
Share pictures, files, and calendar items
Send attendance notifications
and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
In addition to several enhanced messaging features, this new platform will allow us to communicate in multiple languages. If you wish to change the language of the notifications you are receiving from District 140, please contact your school office or fill out the form located at ksd140.org/contact-us
For even greater convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices). This app centralizes District and school communications pertaining to your student(s) and allows parents/guardians to customize their notification settings.
