Is rivalry with the goals of outperforming others or winning.
If it is good to have competition in a child's life.
Some people say that it is good to have kids compete because it stimulates individual efforts and promotes higher standards. It helps them prepare for the adult world. Some people thinks that it is bad for kids to compete because it instills the ideas that success depends on the ability to outdo others. They also thinks it lowers their self-esteem.
