It’s time to sign up for Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Conferences will be held on November 16, 17, and 18. Please see the link on this page to access the Conference SignUp Genius. You will also receive a text with the link today as we want to make it as accessible as possible. A few notes as you sign up for a conference:
- Please sign up for one conference time with your homeroom teacher.
- Notice that some conference times are for an ‘in-person conference’ and some times are for a ‘zoom conference’. Please select what works best for your family.
- Once you select a date and time and sign up, that time will be reserved for you. Please be confident when you select a time slot.

- Remember that Ridgeway students attend conferences with their parent, so be sure that your child is available.
- Please sign up using your child’s first and last name. Your time slot will show as ‘filled’, and only the teacher will be able to see the name.
- You will use the same sign up for all your children. Move between tabs at the top to see schedules for other Ridgeway teachers. If you are on a mobile device, select the teacher from the drop down menu and select ‘Go’.
- Please leave at least 15 minutes between sibling conferences so that your family will make it to the next conference on time.
- You will receive a reminder email two days before your conference date.
- If you are having trouble – please watch the video, try again, and then call the school office for help.
- Please watch the quick video created by our media specialist, Rebecca Munsterman, to help you access the sign up: https://youtu.be/gmsIMZEoyjE
Second Steps
Today’s Second Step lessons focused on identifying when something happens by accident and managing strong emotions. Key parts of the lesson are:
- An accident is when you do something you didn’t mean to do.
- If something happens to you by accident, think about how it could have been an accident and find out more information.
- When you have strong feelings, it can be hard to think clearly.
Families can support this at home by modeling when accidents happen. Say: “I’m sorry, that was an accident. Are you okay/can I help?”

Unit Notes
Unit A
Thank you to all who attended Munch-n-Read. Save the date for the next Munch-n-Read on December 2.
Friendly reminder to make sure all hats and gloves are labeled. This is also a great time to check your child’s “just-in-case clothes” to make sure they are weather appropriate.
Unit B
Unit C
For the Ridgeway Health Office
A note from Nurse Roberts
Annual vision and hearing screenings for grades KD, 1,3, & 5 are complete. I will be reaching out to parents via email if their child did not pass the hearing or vision screen.
Nothing can stop our Rams from learning!
Specialist News
From Ms. White - Learning Specialist
Hello! I see many parents at Parent Pickup or Drop-off, but many don’t know what it is I do here at Ridgeway. This is my second year as a Learning Specialist. This means I teach Special Education or students who qualify for an IEP. Sometimes I do this in my own classroom, and many times I go into general education classrooms. How much do YOU know about Special Education? Take a short quiz here! I am enjoying working with all students here at Ridgeway Elementary and getting to know the wonderful families who have chosen this as their child’s elementary.
