RRISD 2018 Bond Information

The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees is asking voters to consider a $508.4 Million Bond proposal on the November 6 ballot. The proposition includes funding for infrastructure priorities at aging campuses, a new elementary school to alleviate crowding on the District’s east side, a significant investment in both McNeil and Westwood high schools, upgrades to campus safety and security across the District, an investment in technology, and a practice swim facility. It also will provide for campus additions to replace portable classrooms at several schools.

A Music Note:

Deep Wood Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Our students learned about Latin American music during Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th. They played Latin American instruments, learned to sing songs in Spanish, and listened to a performance by the Stony Point High School Mariachi Band. Our fifth graders also attended a performance by the RRISD Ballet Folklorico at the Raymond Hartfield Performing Arts Center during their Fiesta Mexicana. Visit our "Dino Tube" page on Mrs. Choate's web site to see videos of the classes singing in Spanish and visit our "Photo Album" page to see new pictures from this school year.
