Intermediate Fact Fluency & Multi-Digit Computation
Basic fact recall and multi-digit computations are foundations for success in mathematics. These foundations are developed in intermediate grades. This workshop is a 2-part engagement that begins with instructional approaches, strategies, and sequence for developing basic fact recall. The second part of the day extends these ideas to multi-digit computations and mental mathematics. Formative assessment will be highlighted throughout the sessions. Resources and activities will be shared.
Outcomes will include:
- Participants will explore instructional approaches, strategies, and sequence for developing basic fact recall.
- Participants will explore will-digit computation and mental mathematics.
- Participants will explore formative assessment related to fact fluency.
