My Role
As the elementary school counselor for the district, I will be visiting each school once per week. I will be supporting the teachers and classrooms by implementing classroom lessons on topics to help students develop positive social-emotional skills and strategies for success in all areas of their lives. I will also provide group and individual counseling for extra support while responding to special needs. Engaging students in opportunities to promote student resiliency, leadership skills and positive peer relationships will be a focus this year as we start to rebuild lost connections. I hope to build collaborative relationships with schools and families in order to best support the whole child.
