For our 8th Grade Graduates: Application for the 2021 SCS Knights of Columbus Community Service Scholarship Award.
Attached is the Application for the 2021 SCS Knights of Columbus Community Service Award. Legibly prepare and submit your application to the Knights of Columbus by the Friday, May 7, 2021 deadline.
An applicant can either drop off the application at the St. Catharine of Siena Parish Center in a sealed envelope addressed to the Knights of Columbus – Community Service Award, or mail it to the address listed above. Only applications received by the deadline will be considered.
This monetary service award of $1,000 is being granted to promote both the continuance of education at Berks Catholic High School as well as award the student’s dedication to and performance of outstanding charitable service.
The $1.000 award will be granted to an 8th-grade student from St. Catharine of Siena School, public school, or home-schooled programs. To receive the cash award, the student is required to attend Berks Catholic High School in the Fall of 2021. The award will be paid directly to Berks Catholic High School reducing the award winner’s tuition balance.
The application should be legibly prepared and provide details to any and all community, church, and school service projects performed from 6th through 8th grade. The entire body of the student’s service-oriented projects will be considered; not only those from the 8th grade school year.
To be a qualified applicant, the student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of community service (service in the community, church, and/or school) and be registered to attend Berks Catholic High School. The application must be signed by the student and a parent or guardian attesting to the accuracy of the information presented in the application.

Gentle Reminder: Nut free packed lunches, please.
We encourage the packing of nut-free lunches this year. Due to COVID restrictions, the students are eating in various places around our campus. They are dining either in classrooms, the cafeteria, or alfresco if weather permits.
A nut-free table is not available this year. Therefore, we are asking that nut-free lunches and snacks be brought to school this year. We thank you for your support and your respectful cooperation in this matter.

Box Tops for Education
No more clipping. No more sending Box Tops to school. All you need is your phone. Download the ALL-NEW Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops earnings online.
You can still clip them and send them to school. Physical Box Top clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. Send your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired clips you may have at home, to SCS.
Twice a year, your school will receive a check and can use that cash to buy whatever it needs!
