Message From Central Road School

Mrs. Joanna Shostachuk, School Principal

A Note from Mrs. Shostachuk 05/22/2022

Dear Central Road Families,

It is hard to believe that the 2021-2022 school year is winding down and we only have 8.5 days left together. It’s been a year full of great experiences both academically and socially for our students and staff. I know we are all looking forward to summer vacation. It can be very tempting to look ahead, make a bucket list of the activities for summer and think about, well not think about much of anything. One of my favorite quotes about learning comes from John Dewey. “We do not learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.” The experiences, both positive and challenging from this past school year have the potential to really transform each of us. They probably already have. Before jumping into summer break, take pause and reflect on the amazing accomplishments and even some of the struggles we worked through together this school year. No matter how you choose to reflect, we hope that you will, and in so doing, grow in the process. We all become more aware, more appreciative, and more resilient. The 2021-2022 school year has been an amazing one for us at Central Road because we simply chose to come together as a school community at every twist and turn. For this, we are simply so thankful! Please enjoy your weekend with family and friends.

Kindest Regards,

Joanna Shostachuk

THANK A CENTRAL ROAD STAFF MEMBER

As we enter the 2nd half of the school year, I invite you to take notice of the things you see your child's teacher do, hear your child's teacher say, or the things you hear your child gush with excitement about related to their teacher. We've included this simple form for you to submit should you feel so inclined to do so. Children in full day school spend more of their waking day with their teacher than they do with their parents. We thank you for entrusting your child with us! This has been a good school year and your kind words mean more than you know!
