UPC Teacher Appreciation Nominations

A few words of appreciation go a LONG WAY! I wish I could nominate every one of my staff members but its up to all of you. Consider taking a moment to jot some kind words down and tell your child's teacher how much you appreciate them! They will be recognized at a board meeting. Let's fill the Board room with DCES staff! Deadline is March 23rd.

In the last few years we have all been through a lot of changes. As a district, school, and community, we've changed policies, procedures, processes, etc. I know there are expectations for things to "go back to normal" and as a School Council and PTO we will start to discuss what those new norms will look like moving forward. I am grateful to have parents who participate in our School Council but all are welcome to attend. Our next meeting is April 4th at 7:45AM. It is virtual and you can join using the link below.

Yearbook

The yearbook sales are still going on but they are now $25. You or your child may purchase a yearbook any time by bringing your payment to the front. Don't miss out!

Desert Cove Elementary School BAND!

We have been very lucky this year to have the band director from Shadow Mountain High School as our band teacher this year. He liked it so much he has decided to stay next year! Please take a look at the information included about our band program as well as Mr. Natan. He rocks...literally!

From Desert Cove PTO,

Our amazing Book Fair Chair will step down after this school year. With several years of dedication and volunteerism, Bobbi May will no longer have a student at Desert Cove. We are so very thankful for all of Bobbi's time and support throughout the years and she will be missed!


With Bobbi's departure at the end of the year, we will need a new Book Fair Chair Person. If you are interested in becoming our new chair person or you would like more information, please reach out to Desert Cove PTO!
