From The Principal:

We have had an amazing start to the 19-20 school year! Thank you for helping us make these first four days full of positive energy! Our campus is focused on positivity this year! Our campus theme is "Positively Life". We are using the hashtag, #positivelyLIFE, when we post on social media and other areas for our campus!

Next week we will kick off our annual fundraiser with Big Kahuna! Look for more information in your child's folder next Thursday. We hope that you will join us in raising money for our campus!

From Our Nurse:

Parents, the Nurse’s office needs your help! The following is a list of supplies by grade level we will need this year in the nurse’s office, plus some additional items we would like help with, as well. I will be issuing parent points via email to Mrs. Perkins for all donations as I receive them. Please fill out the following information and include it on your donation. Thank you for your support! We are looking forward to making this a healthy year for all our students here at Life School Red Oak!! -Mrs. Santos RN

Kindergarten – Undergarments for boys/girls all sizes

1st Grade – Clorox disinfecting wipes

2nd Grade –Baby wipes

3rd Grade – Clorox disinfecting wipes

4th Grade – Band-Aids all sizes

5th Grade – Baby wipes

6th Grade –Clorox disinfecting wipes

Additional Supplies:

Parents that would help with making ice pack covers. Come by my office for example.

Water bottles are also always needed in the nurse office. Thank you for your support.


This year we are going to be focusing on the 15 LifeLeader attributes that will help us to be Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, and Ready for Life.

Each LifeLeader Attribute represents a skill or knowledge that is necessary to be an effective leader. We believe each and every one of you is a leader and we want to help you develop your leadership skills.

The first category on LifeLeader is “READY TO LEARN. ” Effective leaders have the ability to locate, process, and understand information in order to make sound judgments and achieve success.

This weeks I will statement is, “By the end of the year, I will be READY TO LEARN, READY


CCMR (College, Career, and Military Readiness)

This year we are going to focus on growing students awareness of colleges around the state of Texas. On Wednesdays, each week, with spotlight a specific college sharing their location, specialization, alumni and other interesting information. Be sure to ask your student each Wednesday if they heard about a college they may be interested in attending!

Mustang of the Month:

This year, we will be awarding one student per grade level each month with our Mustang of the Month award. They will be featured on morning announcements and in our Thursday Exchange newsletter. Each student will also receive a very cool Mustang of the Month yard sign which can be displayed in your yard to show everyone that your child is our Mustang of the Month! Staff will be looking for students that display excellence in academics, character, and leadership to nominate for Mustang of the Month. Stay tuned for our first September winners!
