Prevention is the Intervention™
Weekly Groups for Men with NON CONTACT Problematic Behavior
Multi-National Sexual-Risk Reduction Program for NON-CONTACT Specific Offenses
Getting help can be scary, especially when it involves sharing one's deepest darkest secrets. Yet, what we know in the field of Prevention is that if people are able to be honest and accountable for their risky sexual thoughts and feelings, they are less likely to act on them.
Our Prevention is the Intervention™ program assists men with non-contact problematic sexual behavior in learning safe and healthy means of coping. We incorporate The Good Lives Model (GLM) of Offender Rehabilitation with curriculum similar to Prevention Project Dunkelfeld in Germany to ensure we address the specific criminogenic features associated with this population. We also weave in Carnes' Task Based Model for pornography and sexual addiction as many of our clients report having one or both of these issues.
OUR CLIENTS:
- Pre-conviction (sentencing prep) phase of the court process
- Court-ordered clients
- Individuals who are post sex offender treatment
- Individuals who attend sex offender treatment as well as our groups, individual therapy
- Private members in the community who want to prevent sexual harm to others
- Issues: Child porn; rape, snuff fantasies, voyeurs, exhibitionists (lewdness), minor attracted individuals
Weekly On-Going Phone-In or Face To Face Groups!
Our Evidence-Based CBT program, Prevention is the Intervention™ incorporates a Task Approach with Risk Reduction (incorporating the Good Lives Model), Shame Resiliency, and Healthy Sexuality to create long term changes!
