Student Medication Pick-Up Details
Date: Thursday, May 28th
Time: 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Place: Curbside at front of Loring School
Identification: Please have your family’s name on a piece of paper attached to the passenger side window for easy identification.
When you drive up to the school please remain in your car and pull up only when the car in front of you has advanced. Please pop your trunk and a bag with your child’s medication will be placed inside. You may also choose to have the medication deposited through a back window if preferred. The nurses will be wearing masks and gloves. This curbside event will be for medication pick-up only. No families will be allowed inside the building. If you are unable to pick up at this time please contact Tina Cirillo, tina_cirillo@sudbury.k12.ma.us.
Sign-Up for Student Belongings Pick-Up
We will return students' personal belongings and collect school-issued materials (library books, literacy materials, classroom materials, technology devices) during a curbside exchange at Loring on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17. Each family will sign-up for a window to come through our car line, receive students' belongings and return any items needed to come back to school.
Over the next two weeks, Loring staff will be organizing students' belongings and preparing them for your pickup. Materials will be organized by appointment for easy pickup. Only one appointment per family is necessary.
When you arrive at Loring, you should enter the Car Pickup entrance (near the baseball field) and drive around the building stopping at the gym doors. A staff member will place items in your trunk or backseat.
- If you do not have school-based items to return, you will drive straight out of the school parking lot.
- If you have school-issued items to return, you will continue driving and turn right to stop outside the front of the school. There, we will receive the items from you.
Our transfer will be contactless. Our staff will have masks and gloves on during this process.
Here’s how the process will work:
1) Parents will sign up for an available slot on Sign Up Genius here. Be sure to list all of the names of your children on the Sign Up so we have their bags ready and only 1 slot is needed per family regardless of how many Loring students you have. Arrive at school during your assigned date and time only.
2) Please label everything you are returning with your child’s name and where it belongs. For example, “Leo Leopard, Mrs. Havey’s classroom.” Please put a Post It note or piece of paper with this information inside the book or item being returned.
3) Display your Yellow Car Pickup in the passenger side window (if you still have it) or a piece of paper with the last name of your children.
4) We ask that you put any items that you are returning to us in the trunk or back seat of your vehicle. A staff member will take it out of your trunk.
5) You must remain in your car. Our staff will be wearing masks and will remain socially distanced from each other and from you.
6) Please be sure to follow the directions provided as you arrive, including pulling your car up as far as you can to accommodate all the cars for that time slot.
7) Thank you in advance for your patience. We will do our best to make this process as smooth and simple as possible, but we will have limited staff members due to the need to remain socially distanced. Thank you for understanding that this process may take a little time. After all, like so many things, we’ve never tried this before!
Lost and Found Items
Lost and Found items will be distributed as they are able to be identified. Items of unknown owners will be kept until parents and students have the opportunity to visit the Lost and Found upon our return.
