What is stress exactly?

By definition, stress is the feeling that is created when we react to certain events. It's the body's way of preparing itself to deal with a though situation.

The body's response to stress is to to either fight or run as know as fight or flight.

What emotions do stress cause?

Everyone is different when it comes to stress so not everyone acts the exact same way. One way you could act upon stress is with anger, people can be so stressed that they do not want to deal with socializing. Another way someone could act upon being stress is they could isolate themselves from the world that is what I tend to do when I am stressed. Also with stress people can try to eat their problems away and develop an eating disorder.

What are some healthy was to relieve stress?

One healthy was to stop stress is to exercise. Studies show that exercising can make you healthier but, happier. Another way to relieve stress is to get the right amount of sleep every night. Not getting enough sleep can cause you to be grumpy when you wake up. Another good way to release your stress is to manage your time if you manage your time things won't seem to be as crazy. Having fun is a great way to stop stress because you are enjoying yourself and not worrying about what you were worrying about. Also another way to get rid of stress is to eat healthier if you do then you will feel better. If the stress that you are encountering is getting over whelming then talk to someone about it and maybe they can help you out. The final way you can relieve stress is to breathe. Breathing can help you calm down in a stressful situation that you are about to encounter.

What are unhealthy ways to handle stress and what are there consequences?

Stress can be very hard to handle but, if you do not treat it properly it can become even more of a nightmare than you expected. Some bad ways could handle stress is by over eating. Over eating can lead to obesity. Another way to handle your stress badly is by keeping it held inside it is better to talk to someone. The worst way you could possibly handle your stress is suicide, suicide is the third leading cause of death in teens. Stress is hard but, if you handle it properly it will be less of a problem later.
