Dear Parker Middle School Families,
As we head into the short break for Thanksgiving, I wanted to start off by saying how grateful I am to be a part of the Reading community and to be the principal of Parker Middle School. I feel so fortunate and happy to be with the children every day in the warm environment that encompasses Parker. It truly is a special place. I am so thankful for all of the students and families and I truly look forward to all that is yet to come. If you celebrate the holiday this week, Happy Thanksgiving.
Though it was a short week, students were engaged in learning activities and ended the day on Wednesday with some fun, community building activities with their grade level teams.
Some upcoming dates:
The Principal's Student Council will meet right after school on Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the cafeteria. We will be continuing to plan our MLK Day events.
The next School Council meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
The next PTO meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Thanks, students and families, for supporting the food drive

COVID-19 test kits available
Thanks to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), The Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Public Health for working with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as we provide at-home COVID-19 tests to all students and staff in RPS who would like them. These tests are intended for use by students and staff to support the return to school process after Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. Test kits will be available in the main office starting next week.
