Scientific Revolution

What was the change?
During the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries, a new view of nature came and replaced the Greek view that had dominated science for almost 2,000 years. By the end of this period science had replaced Christianity as the focal point of European civilization. The church didn't agree with research being done and commanded for astronomers to stop.
Who were the people associated with the change?
Galileo observed the sky and did research to prove many of Aristotle's theories about nature. He made improvements to the telescope and was on of the first to improve it enough to use it to observe the sky. Galileo used the telescope to study sunspots, the moon surface, and Jupiter's moon.
