FLL TEAM GETS A ROBOT MOVING
K-8 SEL CORNER - YELLOWJACKETS OF THE WEEK!!!
Please take the time to congratulate any familiar faces you see in the picture below because they are our YellowJackets who most exemplify having a GROWTH MINDSET!
When someone has a growth mindset they believe that they can continue to learn and become more intelligent (get smarter) with effort. In contrast, someone who has a fixed mindset believes that they are born with a certain amount of talent and intelligence and that cannot be improved no matter how much effort they put in. One of the biggest differences between having a growth mindset and having a fixed mindset is how you handle making a mistake or experience a setback (like accidentally doing something wrong, getting a low grade on a test, or having a fight with a friend): Someone with a fixed mindset often gives up and sees a mistake as a failure. But, someone with a growth mindset sees a mistake as a learning opportunity because they believe it will help them grow.
