Quarter Three Final Grades Now Viewable
Final marks and teacher comments for quarter-long classes are viewable today, April 8.
At DW, quarter-long classes are Creative Arts courses, Health & Physical Education (CAPE). They include PE, Health, Art, STEM, Family & Consumer Sciences, Performing Arts, Music, Library and Digital Arts. All other DW courses are year-long courses and teachers report on student progress in trimesters. The end of Quarter 3 was April 1, 2022. Report cards are published shortly after that date.
Teachers provide feedback to students throughout the quarter on platforms such as Google Classroom and TeacherEase. However, in some cases, the final electronic report card in PowerSchool is not appropriately displaying comments and/or courses such as Digital Art, STEM, Choir, Band, Orchestra.
While PowerSchool works to rectify these issues, you can use the following steps for full access to marks and comments for all courses.
3. Click on Quick Links
4. Select PowerSchool
5. Select Grades & Attendance
6. Select the tab labeled Standards Grades
7. Click on the Expand All tab (This tab will show you all of the courses your child is enrolled in and it lists all of the standards related to each course.)
8. You can now view your child’s marks for each subject area, curriculum-related standards and learner behavior characteristics. At DW, progress is indicated using the following marks, ME (Meets), NM (Nearly Meets), AP (Approaching) or BG (Beginning).
9. Most teachers will add personalized comments; you can view them by clicking on any lined text box. Quarter comments can be found in the columns labeled Q1, Q2,...
If you have any questions regarding your child’s marks or comments, please contact the teacher directly.
