The Seventh Annual African American Read-in: A Night of Literary JazzOn February 24th, in honor of Black History Month, Broad Run’s English Department and chapter of the National English Honor Society will virtually host the school’s seventh annual African American Read-In.
The African American Read-In will hold honorary readings from faculty, staff, and students, as well as a special musical performance from Broad Run’s choir and jazz band. This year's event will feature guest speaker Mr. Reuben Jackson. Jackson is a well distinguished poet, curator of Smithsonian’s Duke Ellington Collection, and former host of Vermont Public Radio’s Friday Night Jazz.

There is NO COST this year to take the exam. The AAPPL is available in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Thai. Students must fill out the Google form below by 3/3. The AAPPL exam will be taken virtually at home during the month of March. There will be a Q and A at Curriculum Night on 2/22.
