Come on down to Earth!
By: Briana Bell
Why you want to come to Earth:
Earth has many places to go from cold areas to warm areas, which ever you would prefer. We have a variety of places that promote the city-like way of living but then we have places that promote the country-like way of living. We have five oceans in total, the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Southern, the Indian, and the Arctic. We have different seasons which are, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. In the Winter, it is more than likely cold. This is our coldest season of them all most of the time. In the Summer, it is more than likely hot. This is our hottest season of them all most of the time. Spring, Fall, and even Winter and Summer may vary with their temperatures and weather. We are the only planet you'll find appropriate living essentials.
Facts about Earth:
Our travel slogan is ......... The definition of Earth is the substance of the land surface; soil. The surface area of the Earth is 196.9 million square miles. The distance from the sun is 92,960,000 miles. The Earth's mass is 5.972E24 kg. The radius is 3,959 miles. Earth only has one moon. Some unique features of Earth are the existence of plate tectonics, an atmosphere with oxygen, and a lot of water and life.
Extra Facts:
The seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth's rotational axis away or toward the sun as it travels through its year-long path around the sun. Earth's rotation is the rotation of the planet Earth around its own axis. There are two types of Earth revolution: around its axis and around the Sun. Our energy comes from the Sun's radiation. The Earth and everything in our solar system are round (spherical) because of gravity. Light years are defined as a unit of astronomical distance equivalent to the distance that light travels in one year, which is 9.4607 × 1012 km (nearly 6 trillion miles). Gravity is the force responsible for the formation of the solar system.
Suggested activities
For the Summer, you could go swimming in the ocean or a pool. You could also go through the sprinkler to get a nice splash. For then, you would need a bathing suit, shorts, and a short sleeve T-shirt. For the Winter, you could stay inside shelter and drink hot cocoa. If your lucky, it might snow. Then you can play in the snow and build snowmen or have snowball fights. For this season, you would need several jackets, scarves, gloves, and if you can, something to cover your ears like a toboggan. You would use these guidelines for Fall and Spring as well depending on the temperature and weather.
