Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families!
This week our Project Vinátta group announced to students that our current campus-wide activity is a “No Name-Calling Month.” In our guidance classes students are learning about how hurtful name-calling can be, and instead we should be learning more about others and their positive traits. All students are creating a “What’s in a Name” poster with their names and positive words that describe them. We hope this will encourage students to learn more about each other, see how we are alike, and respect how we are different.
We are also learning about the character trait of Trustworthiness this month. At home, it is important to help your child understand who it is safe to trust in their family and community. Children should always be able to trust their parents or guardians. We should listen to them when they need to talk, and show them they can trust us.
Hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break!
“If you don’t listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won’t tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.” ~C.M. Wallace
~C.M. Wallace
