Some news from the principal

Hello everyone,

We look forward to seeing you this Thursday 5/12 at Open House. The last time we had an Open House was in 2019. Please remember, Open House begins with a general session in the MPR at 5:30 PM. Classrooms will open at 6PM. We recommend that if you have multiple students, to please start in the upper grade classrooms first. Our Kindergarten and primary classrooms tend to be very crowded at the beginning. Open House will promptly end at 7PM.

Every Spring we have staff changes. We have numerous staff retiring or moving on to other opportunities. We will share these staff changes over the next few weeks. Some of our staff have already shared their news with their students and families. One change announced at the school board meeting this past week was the appointment of Dr. Erica Jensen to the principal position at Lincoln Fundamental. I want to welcome her to our wonderful educational community.

Some might wonder what has happened to me? I have made the decision to resign from my position at Lincoln at the end of this school year. My reasons are related to some health and medical concerns in my family. I want to be available to them so that I can devote 100% of my attention to their needs. It has been a true privilege to have been at Lincoln. As a community, we have faced some unprecedented challenges over the last 2 years, but because of our collective efforts and focus on student learning and safety, our students have benefitted. I thank you for your partnership with us. The relationships are strong at Lincoln and I know Lincoln will only get stronger in its focus and devotion to our students. Lincoln Fundamental is a unique gem within our many district elementary schools.

Online Registration (OLR) for Lincoln 2022-23

The first day of school for 2022-23 is August 9, 2022. If your student will not be returning to Lincoln for the next school year, please email with your student's name, the name of the school they will be attending, and reason for not returning (moving, attending their home school, etc.).

**If your student is returning to Lincoln, you are required to complete their registration process through Parent Connect as soon as possible. Students will not be scheduled into classes until the online registration process has been completed. If you have multiple students, update information one time and Parent Connect automatically applies changes to all of your students.

  1. OLR is now available on your mobile device! Download the Q Parent Connection application and complete the online registration. You will also be able to access grades, attendance, and more through the app.
  2. Deadline to complete OLR and secure your student(s) spot at Lincoln is Friday, May 27, 2022. Please remember that even if there are no changes, you are still required to sign and date each of the required sections.

PTA news

Our Lincoln PTA will be having a Lincoln Fundamental Association meeting on May 12th at Open House. The meeting will be held in the Lincoln Multipurpose Room (MPR) at 5:30 PM. They will be holding board elections on this date. Your voice is important. See you at Open House !

After School Childcare for 2022-23

We have received a few emails regarding after school childcare at Lincoln for 2022-23. The YMCA will continue to offer an after school childcare program at Lincoln. We do not know if Kids Club will be offered at Lincoln yet. The decision for the program to be at Lincoln next year is not a decision we control at the school. Kids Club is run by an outside organization which makes the decision to apply for space at our school. With regards to the operations and day-to-day administration of the Kids Club, we would recommend you speak to the City of Corona. Again, we hope the program will be able to be at Lincoln. I have included the phone number and email for you.

For more details, please call the Recreation Services Department at (951) 736-2241 or email

If you are interested, then please contact the Kids Club program and ask them to place your child's name on an interest list. If there is enough interest, it will help establish a need to have the program at Lincoln. We will continue to keep a classroom space for the Kids Club. We hope that they will decide to offer the program at Lincoln next year.
