Weekly Updates...
This closing bulletin should help you plan and organize yourself for our closing days. Staff will have a designated day to come into the building to pack up classrooms.

The district is requiring that staff wear masks while on site. See district information:
Wearing Masks When Working On-Site
Health and safety is our priority. To further those efforts following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, all staff and visitors should wear a mask when on-site. We will have masks available throughout the district and you are welcome to bring a cloth face-covering from home.

CUM FOLDERS: Complete by your check out day
¨ All comments are now done in Infinite Campus. See the Master Documents for complete instructions.
¨ PLEASE DO NOT PLACE CUMS INSIDE OF ENVELOPES UNTIL AFTER REVIEW!
¨ The cum should be signed by you.
¨ Organize all cum materials, paperclip all like items together.
¨ All Speech or SPED materials should be in red folders.
¨ All SAT notes, materials should be in blue folders. Place folder in CUM.
¨ ESL materials should be in goldenrod folders.
¨ Sign all CUMS and place We will then ask you to place cums alphabetically into the cum file cabinets for next years teachers.
¨ This should be completed on the day you come to close your classroom (May 18-20)
TEXTBOOKS & TEACHER MANUALS
¨ All texts should be cleaned and marks erased.
¨ All library materials will be handled by the media specialist.
¨ Store all texts in your classroom closet or cupboards.
¨ Do not leave books on shelves or bookcases unless there is no where else to store them. If you have to use bookshelves, please cover them with brown paper and mark what kinds of books are being stored. This will help with cleaning during the summer.
¨ Place all teacher manuals in your closet/cupboard in your classroom. Do not place them in your desk, as desks may be moved for cleaning.
MEDIA/AV EQUIPMENT & COMPUTERS
¨ ELMOS, iPods, and other media devices should be locked in your closet.
¨ Listening stations, tape recorders, etc. should be stored in your classrooms and marked clearly with your name and room number.
SUPPLIES:
¨ If you have any old/extra technology resources (desktops, keyboards, etc.) please contact Russ first. Please do not just “drop it off” outside the tech room.
COMPUTERS
¨ Let me know if there are computers or printers needing repair prior to leaving for the summer. This is very important!!!!
¨ If you plan to take your computer home over the summer you will be required to fill out a Computer Check-out sheet. I will have those available. Once completed, give those sheets to me.
GENERAL CLEANING:
¨ All staff will be responsible for their individual supplies in your rooms. Please label and organize things such as rulers, scissors, teacher desk items, etc.
¨ Make sure student desks are cleaned thoroughly inside and out when you leave
¨ If you have any broken desks or lids, please mark them clearly for repair and let Torrey know about them.
¨ Clean lockers thoroughly. Remove all stickers both inside and out.
¨ All desks are to be labeled with your name and room number, and completely cleaned out.
¨ All desks will be moved out of classrooms for carpet and room cleaning. It would be wise to mark all tables also, so that you get back what was taken out of your room.
¨ We are asking that all chalk trays (if you still have any green boards) be cleaned out. You will NOT need to clean the boards. That will be done correctly over the summer.
¨ All PE equipment questions should be directed to Lensch.
¨ Please do not send your extra paper or unwanted supplies to the workroom. We don’t want them either!! Arrange space in your cupboards for the paper you have already. Please make sure they neat and organized and not just thrown into one big pile.
¨ Keep unused paint in your classroom. Clean the bottles off so that they can be re-used next year. Discard the old, smelly stuff.
¨ Get rid of all yellowed paper, please.
* if a shelf is too heavy to be moved, they will clean around it. Please place paper over those.
* Area kids can't reach, leave it. Lower areas need to be clean.
* If time allows, take down displays in hallways.
* Unplug fridges, leave open over sink. heaters, etc.
* Rugs: roll up if cleaned earlier in year. If you want them cleaned then leave them out on floor.
* Remove items on cupboards so those can be cleaned.
BULLETIN BOARDS:
¨ All displays can be removed.
¨ Remove any backing or pins/staples when items have been removed.
¨ Please take down all bulletin boards and any items you have posted throughout the room that you do not intend to use immediately in the fall. The custodial staff will be doing a thorough cleaning of walls, etc. this summer. If you have word walls, etc. that may hamper the cleaning, please remove them if you wish to have that wall area cleaned.
LESSON PLANS:
¨ Lesson plans should be written on paper and completed for the first week of school. (Do not use plan books.)
¨ Please include review of rules & procedures for fire drill, etc.
¨ Turn the plans in to the office. They will be placed into a file folder with your keys.
KEYS:
¨ All staff will be expected to turn in all keys that have been given out. Please come see Russ for an envelope. That will need to be labeled with your name and the room number. Those must be collected prior to leaving for summer break.
OTHER:
¨ If your room is in need of repairs of any kind, please leave a detailed note for the engineer prior to leaving.
¨ Personal items from home are not covered under OPS insurance. Please take home any valuables.
