We Are Learning & Having Fun in K-1

Winter Holidays Continued

What We Are Learning....

On Monday we enjoyed the lovely winter concert from the third, fourth and fifth graders. The kids were so excited to see some of their older siblings perform!

This week we learned the new letters w & y. In Math, we are learning how different numbers are made up different ways. For Thoughtful Thursday, the kids decorated beautiful placemats for Meals on Wheels recipients. We talked about this wonderful organization and how it helps older members of our community. On Friday, Mrs. Glassman came in and did a lesson from Second Step which focused on how sometimes accidents happen, and it is how we react that matters.

The kids are enjoyed sharing their Family Holiday Traditions. Please see below for some of our class's favorite holiday songs!

Great job as star of the week, Sophie! Thank you for the yummy snack!

Happy Birthday Alex and Alexandra! Welcome to the wonderful world of 6! <3

The Gingerbread Unit... part 2!

This week we continued our super exciting writing centers. The kids got to make their OWN version of the Gingerbread Man. See below for some of their great ideas! Working in small groups, the kids were able to make their own Christmas Trees, learn about winter holidays around the world, how Holiday workers help us, and wrote about how to fill their friend's buckets.
