Wedgwood Drama Club Presents..."The Grunch"!
Inspired by The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Refreshments will be available for sale. Donations accepted at the door.

Take Your Child To Work Day - April 26
Take Your Child To Work Day will take place on Thursday, April 26, this year. If you plan to take your child with you to your workplace, you are asked to do the following:
1. Notify your child's teacher and our main office secretary, Mrs. Mastripolito, of your plans to take your child to work via either email or in writing. Mrs. Mastripolito can be reached at mmastripolito@wtps.org.
2. Upon their return to Wedgwood, send your child to school with documentation from your employer indicating that they visited on April 26. This will allow us to maintain accurate attendance records.
Infrastructure Trial For State Testing
In preparation for this year’s statewide PARCC assessment, our students in Grades 3-5 will participate in an Infrastructure Trial on Friday, April 13. The purpose of the trial is to test our technology infrastructure and familiarize the students with the testing environment and online tools. Each grade level will work within a time frame of 60 minutes to practice logging on, completing a few practice questions and using online tools. Student data is not collected from this trial and students log on as unknown users.
Wellness Reminders For School Celebrations
In keeping with our district's Wellness Policy, please review the following guidelines regarding food and our school celebrations:
- Any food served during school celebrations/curriculum-related activities is to be store bought or purchased through the school district food service department.
- All food served during school celebrations and curriculum-related activities must be approved by the classroom teacher, in the interest of protecting students with dietary concerns and food allergies.
- Birthday celebrations should not include food; age appropriate celebration activities should replace the use of food items.
LOST AND FOUND
With the arrival of cold weather, we have many coats and sweaters piled high in the attendance office. If your child is missing items, please check our Lost and Found, currently on display in the main lobby. Be sure to label all coats, jackets and lunch boxes with your child’s name to help ensure their return.
