We Engage We Educate We Inspire

Hello Stallion Families,

We had an awesome week returning from winter break! The students did a great job getting back into the routines of the school day. It is always so exciting to see our students excited to return to school and see their teachers. We all had a great week!

The Governing Board extended Hybrid learning through the end of January. They also changed the plan to a rotating A/B schedule. This means that kids will be coming every day. Please check with your teacher(s) if you aren't sure which days your student should attend. I've shared the alternating schedule below. Again, if you aren't sure which days your student attends, please check with your teachers.

Alternating day hybrid learning schedule

  • Mon Jan 11 - Last name A-L
  • Tues Jan 12 - Last name M-Z
  • Wed Jan 13 - Last name A-L (one-hour early release)
  • Thur Jan 14 - Last name M-Z
  • Fri Jan 15 - Last name A-L
  • Mon Jan 18 - No school (Martin Luther King Day)
  • Tues Jan 19 - Last name M-Z
  • Wed Jan 20 - Last name A-L (one-hour early release)
  • Thur Jan 21 - Last name M-Z
  • Fri Jan 22 - Last name A-L
  • Mon Jan 25 - Last name M-Z
  • Tues Jan 26 - Last name A-L
  • Wed Jan 27 - Last name M-Z (one-hour early release)
  • Thur Jan 28 - Last name A-L
  • Fri Jan 29 - Last name M-Z

Students designated as Level C and students in SPICE I & SPICE II will attend campus five days a week during the period of hybrid learning.

On days that students do not come to campus, normal school attendance rules still apply. Students need to log into Buzz for attendance to be taken. If students don't access Buzz by midday, an email is automatically generated and sent as a reminder. If students do not log into Buzz that day, they are marked absent for the day.

Do Not Come To School

I need to remind everyone that students should not come to school if they, or anyone in their household has tested positive for COVID. Students who are sick or feeling any COVID-like symptoms can’t be on campus.

This Week at the Ranch - Jan 11 to 15

  • Chess Emporium class meets after school

  • Early release - 1:55 PM Dismissal

  • Ms. Van Horn's Birthday!

  • STUCO Recyling

Thank you for reading the Round-Up. As always, if you have any questions, please email me at and I will be in touch.

Enjoy your holiday break and Be Safe!

Colin M. Kelly,

Lunch (and breakfast) is Free

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended free meals for children 18 years and younger until further notice to help ensure all children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gilbert Public Schools will provide combo meals at no cost to students for breakfast and lunch. A combo meal includes an entree, fruit and/or vegetable and beverage (milk and/or juice).

We certainly encourage our families to take advantage of this opportunity.
