Newlyweds Amanda & Richard Smith
Teresa Cook recently announced that her daughter Amanda was married to Richard Smith on August 29 at Pine Creek Nursery in Monroe, Washington. Congratulations to Teresa and family!
New NCESD Board member
Marcia Henkle was appointed last month to Position No. 6 on the ESD Board of Directors. Marcia is currently director of the Washington State Security Department. She replaces Karl Lambert, who recently moved out of his district area. Welcome Marcia!
Saying Goodbye to Kristina Harding
We are sad to see Kristina leave the ESD, but wish her the best as she moves to Iowa with her husband who was recently transferred there by Alcoa.

Leah Harris honored
Leah Harris, who was unable to attend the NCESD Staff Awards Luncheon last spring, was presented with an award for "Goal Accomplishment" (earning her Bachelor's Degree), as well as an anniversary pin honoring her for 15 years of service to the ESD.

NCESD Educational Foundation selected to benefit from Seahawk Rallies
Please join us October 5, 4 p.m. at Pybus Market, as we cheer on the Seahawks at our next rally! Come early to purchase a raffle ticket for a drawing to stay at Great Wolf Lodge! Special prices are available for teachers (4 tickets for $5). There will be free Skittles for kids!
Regional Teacher of the Year
Ashley Leneway, Regional Teacher of the Year, brought her husband Andrew and daughter Audrey to the first Seahawk Rally at Pybus Market. Ashley talked about the benefit of teacher classroom grants.
