You are Invited to AOC's Showcase Event on May 19th from 6:00pm-8:00pm
All of our AOC families are invited to join us at Academy of the Canyon's version of Open House called Showcase. Showcase is an opportunity for our students to exhibit projects that they created this semester. The projects are based on California state standards curriculum. Students decide what they can make, build or do to demonstrate their knowledge and solve a real world problem using the content and academic material that they learn. It's a wonderful demonstration of AOC's student work. All incoming freshman are invited on took take a tour with ASB and get to know one another. All incoming freshman parents for the fall of 2022 will meet with ROOTS, our PTA organization and Dr. Fine. It's a fun event. Please join us on campus at AOC and in the University Center.

How to support your student(s)?
Social and emotional strategies are useful in the educational setting as well as home life. It is important to help aid your students in becoming emotionally well. An important way to do this is by modeling behaviors in your home life. Taking care of your own emotional and social wellness is a great way to model healthy behaviors for your student(s).

Project Linus Kindly Requests a Donation for Acrylic Yarn Needed for Students
Project Linus at AOC is an active nonprofit charity located on our campus that makes comforting therapy blankets for critically ill and traumatized children in our community. Project Linus is also a class where our students learn the practices and functions of running an active nonprofit business while also learning how to make quilts, crochet blankets, and other basic sewing and fiber arts skills! Nonprofit Ventures, our Project Linus class, is in great need of acrylic yarn for our students to have the materials necessary for their projects. As a result of this need, AOC Project Linus is hosting a Yarn Drive starting now until the end of MAY. Crocheting has become quite a popular hobby on our campus and we are struggling to keep up with the yarn needs of our creative student body. Our eager students use up even the largest stockpiles of yarn within a blink of an eye. Please help us replenish our yarn stock by donating skeins of 100% Acrylic yarn in the large blue box labeled "Yarn Drive" next to the school’s wellness center. These yarns will go toward making blankets for critically ill and traumatized children in our community, and in some cases, abroad.
We are also in need of 5mm crochet hooks to accommodate the already large and growing number of blanketeers. The hooks can also be donated via the aforementioned blue “Yarn Drive” box.
