Happy Mid-Autumn Festival (Supermoon Lunar Eclipse tonight!) 🌝

Have you visited our private Shutterfly website yet? The pictures from the Moon Festival class celebration have already been posted up by our awesome room parent Marisa. C22Heroes had a blast learning about the Moon Festival, making lanterns, and tasting mooncakes. It would not have been a successful celebration without the parent volunteers. THANK YOU!

Centennial Farm Field Trip is THIS THURSDAY!

Our first field trip is coming up soon! You may be wondering how to prepare your child for it. :)

What to Wear: Students are to wear their Field red shirt (if you do not have a red Field shirt yet, your child may wear a regular red shirt as long as it is appropriate to our school dress code). Close-toes shoes with socks.

What to Eat: If you did not choose school lunch for your child, PLEASE be sure to pack lunch in their lunch box. We will be putting all lunch boxes in a cooler. The cooler will be kept at a location at the farm until lunch time. We highly recommend a disposable lunch (i.e.: a sandwich, fruit, and a snack) and small water bottle that will fit INSIDE their lunch boxes. We only have two parent volunteers who will be supervising the students. We do not want them to carry 21 heavy reusable water bottles in a backpack, do we? :) Regular, reusable water bottles will be left in the classroom for your child to use when they return to school from the field trip.

Week 7 Learning:

MLA: We are done with learning #1-10 in Chinese! This week will focus on δΊΊ and ε·₯.

MLA reading: My First Chinese Word Book 6: What is in the backpack? (focuses on stationary such as pencil, marker, and gluestick).

Math: We will continue to incorporate the concepts of colors, flat shapes, and solid shapes into this week's focus on AAB pattern.
