Bus Behavior
On Monday, December 2nd, we began having the bus drivers provide a "score" for the bus ride. We are looking for bus riders to be SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, AND RESPECTFUL.
We will recognize the "best bus route" at each Featured Falcon Awards celebration. We will give the drivers a certificate and small reward for them to hand to each student who rides that particular route.
Please talk with your students and encourage them to help their ride be a 3!
Reminders
Don't forget to share your pictures! #BookedOnReading
Don't forget about our Ziplocked on Reading project! Your child has the option to bring home a bag of books to read and then swap out for a new bag of different books to read.
We hope every Harlan Hero will read 20 minutes per day at home! Thank you for supporting us in this initiative!
Goodnight, Harlan

Information to Know:
We are excited to be part of the Super Citizens Program. We will have our field trip this week. Please ask your student about it.
Skills to Practice at Home:
- Students have recently learned how to write the entire alphabet in lowercase cursive handwriting. Please encourage your child to show you their new learning at home!
- Our goal is for our students to read for at least 20 minutes each night. Please sign your child’s reading log, in addition to their behavior calendar. Thank you for your help!
- Please help your child practice skip counting out loud any chance you can. This can be done in the car, before dinner, on the way to school; it only takes a few minutes but it can make a big difference! Parents can sign the page to let the teachers know that their child has practiced skip counting and have begun to memorize their facts.
- Websites like Xtramath, IXL, and Freckle can help to increase student understanding and fact fluency from home

First payment for the Montgomery field trip is due by January 31st. Full payment can be paid any time before due date.
