Metaphor and Similes

A metaphor is when two things are compared without using like or as. A simile is when two things are compared using the words like or as.

Example of a Metaphor: The classroom was a zoo.

Example of a Simile: The classroom was so wild it was like an zoo in there.


When a Nonhuman is given human like qualities.

EX: The cloud grinned and laughed at my pain.
