Family Dinner Discussions from the Sunday Scriptures:
The Gospel reading on Sunday, July 16 talks about the wheat and the weeds. It is one of Jesus' famous parables. What do you think Jesus is talking about when he discusses the good wheat that can be harvested? What would the weeds in the world be?

St. Christopher Prayer for Travel
protect me today in all my travels along the road's way.
Give your warning sign if danger is near so that I may stop while the path is clear.
Be at my window and direct me through when the vision blurs from out of the blue.
Carry me safely to my destined place, as you carried Christ in your close embrace.

SHARE A STORY!
Joey wonders about heaven. As he goes to sleep that night and begins to dream, he is visited by his guardian angel, Gabby, who promises to answer all his questions by taking him on a special trip! Joey receives a special visitor's pass, jumps on a wing-laden suitcase and flies with Gabby into the clouds, to the most beautiful place he has ever seen. This is a wonderful book for helping a child to imagine what heaven might be like and is especially helpful for young children who may have experienced the death of a family or friend.
WONDER!
- Where do you think the most beautiful place to travel is located?
- If you could travel anywhere on the map or in history, where would you go?
- Would you like to have a visitor's pass to heaven? What do you think you would see? Who would you want to see? What questions would you ask your guardian angel?
