Parent Reminders
2. Please make sure that we have several phone numbers on file for you and emergency contact people in case we need to reach you about your child. A few times with recent bus delays we have been unable to reach parents. We must be able to contact you or the emergency contact person.
3. Please remember that when dropping students off in the morning for school that there should be no cars driving down Fairhill Avenue. The street is closed from 8:00-8:30 for our buses to drop off. If you are arriving late with a student please drive down Sylvania, park on Sylvania, and walk your child to the main office for a late slip. Morning drop off in the parking lot has two options. You may back your car in a spot and walk your child to his/her line or use the drive through option. If you are in the drive through line, you must drop your child off and then leave the parking lot. We have a teacher on duty to assist with the drive through line and they will be present from 7:50-8:10. In the past, we would have a teacher present at 8:00 AM. We will now start a little earlier to help our students in grades 4-8 be able to get into their homerooms by 8:10.
4. The winter uniform started this week. Please make sure students are wearing the proper uniform for both regular school days and gym days. Even if it is warmer, students must be in the proper uniform. On gym days they may wear their short sleeve shirt and shorts under their uniform. If they get too warm they may take off the sweat shirt or sweat pants. On cold days, in the regular uniform girls may wear tights or gym sweat pants under their dress to stay warm. They can choose to take the gym sweat pants off when they get to school or they may keep them on. They may not wear anything else during the day in their classes. If they come to school in anything other than uniform clothing it must be removed during the school day. The exception would be coats for when they go outside or leave one building to go to the other one.
5. We have already collected a lot of lost and found items. We have an entire container full of sweatshirts and light jackets. If your child/children are missing items at home, have them check the lost and found. Most items look to belong to our 4th-8th grade students.
6. We are still collecting items for our Breathing Room families for Thanksgiving. Thank you for your continued participation and support.
7. The Kevin from Heaven Foundation is collecting winter coats for those in need. We have bins on each campus for you to donate to "KOATS FROM KEVIN". Please bring in your gently used and unwanted to coats to support this wonderful cause.
2016-2017 Annual Fund
To date, $29,507.00 has been donated to this year's campaign.
Thank you for your continued help and support of our school.
