A Message from Mrs. Plourde!

Hello Deibler Families!

Wow! October was quite an exciting month here at Deibler!! It has been so great getting back to some "normalcy" and revisiting some of the Deibler traditions! The Parent Visitation week was exciting and it was fantastic to see so many parents here at Deibler. I was so thankful to have our Fall Festival Parade this afternoon. Thank you families for your support and flexibility with the time change. We did not want the rain to fall on our parade!! Also our Red Ribbon Spirit Week was a success and a lot of fun for our students and staff members! November is looking to be a very busy and FABULOUS month for all of our Dolphins here at Deibler! Thank you for all of your support this year as we continue to move forward!!!

As we all know... "Together is the BEST Place to be"!

From our PTO

Deibler Dash Fundraiser

On Monday 10/18, we kicked off our Deibler Dash Fundraiser. This is our PTO’s main fundraiser each year and our goal this year is our biggest ever - to raise $30,000 to build an outdoor learning pavilion!

You should have received a packet of information that was sent home with each child. The Deibler Dash is an obstacle course race all children will participate in on Friday, November 12. Students can earn prizes for themselves, their classes, and their Houses through their participation. For more information and to contribute, visit the Dash information page on our PTO website

We are also looking for volunteers to help the day of the Dash! Volunteers will help with obstacle course set up and clean up, assist students in running the obstacles, or help at the water stations. The students love seeing a familiar face cheering them on! Volunteers are needed all day or we have morning/afternoon only times. Volunteers must have all clearances submitted as required by state law. To sign up to volunteer, click here:

Please reach out to the Dash Committee at with any questions.

Pavilion Building Committee

The PTO is looking for 5-7 parents to join a committee to oversee the building of our outdoor learning pavilion. This committee will be in charge of soliciting designs, bids and contracting construction, as well as working with our local township and district for plan approval and permits. We anticipate that the committee will meet once a month until construction is complete. If you are interested in joining this committee, please email with your contact information and any relevant experience you can bring to the committee. We anticipate the first committee meeting to be late November/early December.

Deibler Spirit Wear

Our Spirit Wear orders from Kampus Klothes should be in early next week in time to distribute before our next House Meeting. All orders will be sent home with students unless they are too large for the student to carry. If your items are a gift or you would simply prefer to pick them up yourself from the office, please email and your items will be held at school.

Holiday Shop

Mark your calendars for this year’s Holiday Shop which will be held on Friday, December 3 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. The Holiday Shop has great gifts for kids to purchase for their family members, free hot chocolate and cookies, games, and "gingerbread house lane."

Suggestions for Parent-Teacher Conferences

The key to a successful conference – parents and teachers agree – is two-way communication. By exchanging information, parents and teachers can set the stage for a great school year.

Before the Conference

Spend a few minutes talking with your child. Tell him/her you need help preparing for the conference. You might:

  • Ask what he/she would like you to talk about with the teacher.
  • Ask what he/she thinks the teacher will say.
  • Ask about things he/she likes and doesn’t like, his problems and successes.
  • Let him/her know that after the conference you will discuss what the teacher said (within reason).

After the Conference

  • Follow up (stay in touch with the teacher). If you think of any questions you didn’t ask, write a note.
  • Talk with your child.
  • Stress the positive things the teacher said.
  • Talk about suggestions for improvement. Plan with your child how to carry out these suggestions.
