News You Can Use!
Please keep Sue D'Ottavi and Kathy Trovarelli in your thoughts. Sue is home recovering, and Kathy is dealing with a family illness. We are sending you both positive thoughts.
Cell Phones....we've had many issues with student use of cell phones. Please take a minute and remind students they should be turned off or silenced and remain in book bags. Also, students should not be taking them out on the playground. Let us know if you have any students who we need to speak to.
Please remember the Nurse's Office is closed from 1:50-2:50. Please send any students that need a nurse visit to the Main Office during this time.

Words of Wisdom
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
~ Theodore Roosevelt
Keeping the status quo is often our safe place, or our “existing state” as it translates from Latin. But is that all we want from life? Is that what we teach? How to simply exist from one day to the next? Of course not. We teach our students to advocate for themselves, to take educated risks, to enjoy successes and learn from failures. Victory isn't a one-way street. It is peppered with failure and defeat, and it is those failures that serve to reinforce how glorious triumph feels.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Step out of the “gray twilight” and into your life. Do something you have been putting off for fear of failing.
Happy Birthday!
