Topics for inquiry
Teacher of the Year
Student Engagement Is......
________________________________________________________________
Top Four Topics For Student Engagement Inquiry:
1.Teachers’ professional interactionStudents request a high quality teacher that is well-trained, engaging, organized, and dedicated in learning. Students also desire a supportive learning environment both within and outside of the classroom
2.Teachers’ personal interaction (Students want an involved, patient teacher who cares about their learning as well as their personal needs/desires.)
3.Teachers’ adaptability in the classroomStudents look for individualized attention in the classroom. They also seek different types of learning options as well as various learning opportunities, activities, and topics
4. Diversity, Equality, Acceptance, and Respect Most students recognize the importance of diversity, acceptance, and equality between students in the classroom and overall in school. Acknowledgment of the importance of learning and experiencing different cultures is prominent.

Professional Learning
Create Culture with Intention!
We are looking for teachers who want to intentionally create a culture of engagement in their classrooms.
1. Foundations: The Art (and Heart) of Teaching
A teacher’s own identity, values and beliefs help form the basis from which flourishing cultures of learning may (or may not) grow. The focus of this two-day reflective experience is on exploring and clarifying our identities, values and beliefs around teaching and learning; demystifying what it takes to create the space/place we want and making our vision transparent for cultural transformation. Designed/Facilitated by: Dalyce Beegle, Bryan Dean, Mary Perfitt-Nelson and Holly Zimmerman.
