What activities have you done for the World Language Program Review this year?

This week's focus:

Demonstrator 3. Instructional Strategies

All teacher implement instructional strategies that provide quality experiences, a variety of activities and access for all students.

Proficient

c) World language is regularly and intentionally integrated into the curriculum. Most students are provided opportunities to develop global competencies through engagement, inquiry, and reflection.

Some examples of classroom activities that would fit this standard are:

Assignments pertaining to global issues that also involve 21st Century Skills of some type, even including when teachers ask students to bring their phones to use for research. 21st Century Skills focus on 4 Cs: Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. Any projects/assignments concerning world issues such as immigration, world hunger, climate change, Ebola, global financial crises, poverty, US Foreign Policy, conservation, Fair Trade, population growth, etc.

This seems to be an area that many classes could contribute evidence to easily--not just World Language Classes. If you have anything that fits in this area that you can document, please include your evidence and remember to save it using the standard format
