Get Involved with SMART Family Literacy
Pictured below is our "Elephant Spinach" garden box. The elephant statue gives children a visual target when told to go look for the spinach sprouts.

Green Beans Green beans are among the current harvest at "The Ranch." Although most recipes call for them to be cooked, they are great right off the vine! | Teaching Perspective A Big Guy Took My Ball, by Mo Willems is among our favorite teaching titles. This graphic novel teaches young children about perspective. | Refrigerator Pickles All of the herbs and veggies were grown in the garden and are staple ingredients to refrigerator pickles. This recipe requires no cooking and only take minutes to prepare. |
