***COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION***
Highland High School CLASS OF 2021
Commencement Information
Let the countdown begin...We are now less than 85 days away from graduation for the Class of 2021!
With that in mind, I wanted to go ahead and include some general information to help you begin planning. Due to COVID mitigation policies and guidelines, please understand that things may change, but we will do our best to keep you updated as new information becomes available.
Baccalaureate Ceremony - TBD
Commencement Ceremony is currently scheduled to be an in-person event on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., in Hawk Stadium. Please note that, due to limitations on seating capacity, we will only be allowing a certain number of attendees per graduate (right now it is looking like a MAXIMUM of four tickets, so please plan accordingly). We will also be livestreaming the event. More details forthcoming.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
If you haven’t already, please order your Gown, Hood, Cap, & Tassel ASAP--Deadline is March 18--don’t wait, or it will be too late! All items are available for purchase through www.jostens.com; you can also call 1-800-Jostens, or reach them locally at (602)765-7227.
Seniors: keep in mind the importance of regular attendance, good grades, and appropriate behavior. Please do not jeopardize the opportunity to participate in the commencement ceremony by missing too many days, failing classes, or getting suspended.
The deadline for all online classes through Gilbert Global Academy is May 7, 2021 for asynchronous classes. If you are taking online classes through an outside provider, please keep in mind that your official transcripts must be received at HHS by April 23, 2021, as well.
All fees must be paid through the Bookstore and library (books & fees), and possibly athletics, and/or music (uniforms/equipment).
Please check the HHS website, email, and school newsletter for updates. If you have any questions, please call Tricia Trejo or Reese Neal at 480.813.0051, X8114057.
Thank you!
Reese Neal

Class of 2021: Senior Exit Survey - IMPORTANT!
In order to make sure we do not miss anything, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Prior to picking up your Cap and Gown in April, we will need you to complete the Senior Exit survey to let us know about your plans after high school, as well as any awards, grants, scholarships, or other significant recognitions or honors you have received. And don't worry--you will be able to go back in and update your entry if anything else newsworthy comes your way in the weeks leading up to graduation.

How To Request Transcripts
The following information is the procedure when requesting transcripts:
If you are a current senior, please fill out the Transcript Release Form and return it to the registrar's office.
If you are a former graduate in need of your official transcript to be sent to a University/College you must provide the following information:
- full name when you attended HHS
- complete date of birth
- year you graduated
- the name and address of the University/College
** Processing time is 48 business hours.
Parchment.com is also available to send transcripts. Simply create an account and you can then make requests through their website.
**Parchment.com charges a small fee of $4.15 per official transcript and can be sent out within 24-48 hours electronically.
Please note per GPS policy: In order for a transcript to be considered official, it must be mailed directly to the college or institution. Also, HHS does not have copies of diplomas and cannot create a duplicate. If you need to prove that you have graduated, you can use your transcript. Your date of graduation is shown on the transcript.
